VOX gained 12 seats in the recent regional elections in Andalusia South of Spain
Majority of their votes (over 395,978 votes) came from people who are normally non participants in the regional election. VOX managed to inspire these voters through its anti-immigration and anti-Islam policies. These voters also used their votes as a protest vote against the handling of current the situation of separatist independence parties in the Catalonia & Bask region. They were engaged in demonizing the immigrants blaming them for most violence against women, living on their wealth fare system, bringing drugs and the killings of Spanish citizens by immigrant’s men. Official data from the ministry of equality shows a different result 6,398 cases reported are committed by Spanish citizens and 2k for immigrants. Violence cases against women.
Ideology:
VOX proclaimed to be an extreme right party with an economically liberal stance. They believe that men should also be protected against the false report made by most women against men. They are against federal system - they are calling for the elimination of the autonomous regions.
VOX takes a pro-life stance on abortion and opposes same-sex marriage because they consider the Spanish word for marriage, "matrimonio", to be etymologically inadequate for same sex couples. VOX seeks to create a new type of union, called a "civil union", to replace same-sex marriage. VOX considered themselves anti-feminist and wants to repeal the gender violence law.
